This privacy policy is to comply with the new GDPR legislation that began 25th May 2018. The aim is to give you confidence that your data will be managed correctly, to explain clearly and in detail how and why I use and collect your data, and to clarify your rights.
What personal data I collect.
For a session to go ahead I need your contact details, which include your name, address, postcode, email and phone number. I also need information about your baby’s age and health and information about their birth. I may need to ask about your physical and mental health and wellbeing, your lifestyle and the ages of other family members, primarily children.
Why I need this information
I need this information to enable me to provide safe and appropriate care and for insurance purposes.
I have a lawful basis for processing your personal information, ie. there is a legal reason to ask for your data because a contract is being entered into.
In order for me to fulfil my contract with you and give you and your baby a session you must fulfil your side of the contract (i.e. share your personal information).
You have the right to not share your personal data with me but in this case I will be unable to offer you a session.
The length of time your data will be stored
I must retain records for a period of at least 7 years from the date of your last session, or up to the age of 21 plus 7 years for a child.
I will not share your information with any third parties unless required to do so by law.
If you are not happy with any aspect of the way I collect or handle your data, you have the right to seek redress from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) which is the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues using the following link:
If you have any questions relating to this policy or the data that is held about you, please contact me in writing at annie@earlydayssupport.co.uk
